What would you say about...

What would you say about a bathroom GFCI that tripped properly with a tester, and reset fine, but the “trip” button on the outlet wouldn’t work? Here’s what I said, but I’d be interested in hearing what some of you might have said (if anything)…

1.Observed the GFCI outlet in the Master Bathroom has a faulty test button. The outlet was tested using an electrical tester, and operated properly and was re-set. However GFCI outlets should be manually tested every month using this button. It’s failure indicates that the outlet should be replaced with a new one. Minor maintenance repair item.

“GFCI receptacle at the bathroom did not trip properly using the test button on the unit. Replacement advised for safety.”

Both are good.
