I inspected a home that was built in 1995 that did not have GFCI receptacles in the bathrooms. What year were they required?

1975

It is easier to change direction than it is to forget where one has been.

I run across houses here that have no GFCI’s on a regular basis, my county didn’t start inspecting until 1992. It’s irrelevant to me though, I recommend GFCI’s in the required locations without regard to the age, when code inspection came in, or anything else. They’re basic safety items that no home should be without.

Did they utilize GFI breakers?
