I teach home inspection classes and give these sheets out to students so they can know what to expect. I invite CONSTRUCTIVE comments on the information provided in the posted documents.
A few days ago I posted an Adobe file of a spreadsheet showing an approximation of how much time it takes to own and operate a home inspection company doing two different volumes of business.
NEXT: Watch out for another spreadsheet showing how the amount you charge for inspections changes your proffit picture.

Sorry for the delay, both files are posted and both are working.

I just glanced quickly, but I would lose the yellow page ad. You get a free line in the yellow pages, and the ad usually won’t recoup the initial expense.
I would also lose the scheduling service, or find a cheaper one if you simply absolutely have no other option.
And 3% for refunds???? Man, I hope not. You don't ever want to get known for giving refunds!!!
So there is another 15 k in the inspectors pocket.
The one thing I have learned after ten years is if it doesn't protect or increase my salary now or later, it is an expense I don't need.
