I assume the power vent.
Are these vents controlled by a thermostat ?

Thanks.

soffit and ridge vents are preferred by most roofing contractors. Thermostat controlled ower vents are good if you don’t have a ridge vent, as they tend to pull air through the ridge, leaving air near the attic floor unchanged.

Turbine vents are for the birds.

Wrong...It's always Ridge as Blaine stated. And they will be accompanied by either a drip edge vent or soffit vent.

Yes and no. I find most of these thermostatically controlled but find others controlled with a switch either at the attic entrance or in the living area. Either way, These fans are crapola.

I think I remeber that now, I assumed that a thermostatically controlled power vent would vent a space more “efficiently” than a…non power assisted vent system.

Thanks for the clarification.
