I am starting a second career and wanted the freedom of being my own boss…lmao
Since out of high school I worked with a builder building 10-12 homes a year and maintaining apartments. I started my own business of home repairs and wanted to mix in home inspections. I do like to view homes in a repair/inspection way.
I second that. This will be my second business and it’s so freeing being your own boss
After looking at and thinking about many options I really am liking this choice, as I am aiming to have my own company. I have been homeschooling my child and staying at home with him, now that he’s in a spot where he is more independent, I can finally figure out what I want to be when I grow up. ![]()
Hi everyone.
I am taking this course a second career after the C. I’ve been very knowledgeable on how things work around a house and wanted a career that everyone needs one of. I’ve been enjoying the courses and learning more every day from these threads.
I was a licensed general contractor for approximately 20 years, specializing primarily in residential remodeling projects. During that time, I gained extensive hands-on experience managing projects, coordinating subcontractors, and working closely with homeowners to bring their renovation plans to life.
For the past 12 years, I have been teaching Building Construction at the high school level. In addition to teaching the fundamentals of construction, I provide OSHA 30 training and expose students to a wide range of construction trades and career opportunities. My goal is to give them both practical skills and a solid understanding of the industry so they are better prepared for their future careers.
I decided to pursue this certification to build on my experience, expand my professional qualifications, and create an additional source of income while continuing to share my knowledge and expertise in the construction field.
i have been in construction for about 30 years. i figured id expand my resume and also eventually go out on my own.
Signed 5 inspections up last night. Waiting on availability from 2. Busy day! Booked the last one out to September 18th!
The work will fall in your lap if you’re good and in the right market.
Inspected a costal house Thursday owned by a REA. She wanted my card. I told her I’ll give you my card but I don’t work with or for agents. She was floored as 99.9% of inspectors beg for work from REA’s.
Market to you client!
