Wiring problem?

HTG 71V
NTG 44V
HTN 118V

See pics.

What do you think?

Guess I should post these also

Loose ground connection

Question is why would do this? Do you not own a proper tester or did you see the light and then decide to investigate.

What is a proper tester?

SURETEST or a SPERRY TESTER.

The problem with a digital multimeter is it has a very high input impedance.

If you want accurate AC voltage readings you need to load the circuit.

Plug in a lamp and try it again.

Heh Mr. helpful, he asked a question and you gave him nothing useful.

Actually I did.

No you didn’t.

You really are an** Idiot!**

A Wiggy

I remember you pointed that out in your classes!

Wiggy for me too.

Meter problem
It is a DVM not an analog
This is referred to as phantom voltages due to the low impedances of the meter
Use a solenoid type meter and it goes away

Sure AFTER the poor guy asked for it.

As was explained in post #7

And it’s high input impedance.
