Would you inspect a roof in these conditions?

I have an insurance roof inspection tonight for tornado damage. It must be completed and to the engineer by Friday.
What would you do, considering this forecast, and when would you/would not try?

Additional Info: When I got up this morning, there was moisture all over the windows of my house. No sun. 5mph wind. The low temp last night was 59F. Between 4 and 7pm (sunset) tonight, the temp drop will be 4 degrees.

Is there any window of opportunity between now and the report due date?
There are five main considerations in making a decision to go forward.

David,
You’re asking if I would inspect in those conditions? Yes I would give it a go, I think.

Here is a 12:12 pitch metal roof in the rain I climbed to check if bricks were loose on a chimney that looked bad. Mentally competent people would probably just use a drone. But that’s just me. I’m not suggesting that you do this. I do have a collection of drones, but I use them to get pretty pictures. I’ll use one to inspect a roof I can’t climb, which happens a few times a month.
Based on your weather chart I don’t see ideal conditions any time this week, so that’s a tough situation.
Be safe.
In my opinion, I’d rather face a little wind, than rain. 14 mph is not that strong, but just a little moisture can really affect the friction coefficient. Damp is just about the same as pouring rain when it comes to grip.
So based on your chart I think my best window would be afternoon between 2:pm to 6:pm when the sun comes out, temps spike and RH% dives. Wed Thur Friday are a no Go because of the precipitation. If I understand your chart right.
If it’s out of your comfort zone, I’d call a local colleague that you trust and see if they want the job.

What type of roof is it? tornado damage? is any part of the roof still standing? too many variables that are missing. Today is your best bet, otherwise Thursday if things clear up after am shower.

PS: I hope your drone is stable in the wind

I don’t care about the bricks, but do tell me, how does that flashing in your pic work? I’m confused.

Early this morning may have worked in the inverse. But travel time and wind consideration, I missed that window.

TPO
Yup tornado.
New roof with partial damage. Insulation still on the roof.
TPO with a 4F Delta T. Check wind forecast and humidity today.
That shower (not shown) is a 1.06" forecast. With the air humidity, I can believe it.
No sun to dry things up or heat the roof much…

From the ground I could see some brick problems and some other things so I jumped up there to take a closer look. Once up there of course I found lots of things to call out.

6.3.1 Chimney flashing was certainly on that long list.

You know any of those?

A chart is not the actual conditions of the property at the time of inspection. Thursday looks to be the best option. I’ve seen it rain on one side of the street and not the other side. Conditions are what they are when you are there. Hopefully you will have dry time on Thursday.
