Yes. Different home. Comes up in the middle of a bonus room. Seems like WTF were you thinking. heh.
Main question, did you ride it?
When a spiral stair is too inexpensive, reliable and easy to maintain?
I can see the headline…
“Florida man killed when riding dumb waiter”
150lb limit. I’m 230 with my clothes on. I wear heavy, heavy clothing. At least that’s what I tell my wife. Heaviest shorts and nylon shirts ever.
There were no HVAC registers in the kitchen so it was cold in that room. I found a hot cabinet though. I went to the basement and removed a ceiling tile and sure enough, there was a duct and register right under the cabinet. When they remodeled the kitchen, the cabinet guys installed the cabinets right over the old register and didn’t provide a path for the air to get into the room.
And that would have been so easy to fix. Just buy a kickspace heater register grille, cut out a section of the kick, screw it on. Done.
I was going through some old files looking for advertising content and found this. Had forgotten all about it…This was on an 11th month warranty inspection. Builder shimmed a steel I-beam with drywall, wrapped in house wrap, then coated w/ PL-400 construction adhesive (I found the tube in the insulation).
A couple weeks after the inspection the client called me complaining that the drywall in the master bath over that area was cracking. Thanks to an active roof leak over the same area ironically, water had made it’s way down the exterior wall and to the drywall shims and … muuuussshhhh.
That’s a great find!!
Interesting, I didn’t know that “a torch” was considered a “heat appliance”
Evidently there are some out there that think that it is.
If I lived a few hundred miles further north I would probably update my template LOL
Maybe they’re trying to lump “a torch” in with those evil gas stoves?
Even more interesting is that it made the news (that’s a good warning to others), but nary a mention of all the arsonists in LA lighting fires on lamestream legacy media.
