Nope, not squeezing through there. This was the only attic access I could find.
Perfect use for this:
I have several poles for it. Stick it up there, capture a 360Spherical image it on the phone, easy peasy.
Except for this year! Haha.
You’ve got that right!
The number of people posting on Nextdoor “Something is wrong, my gas bill tripled!” or “I’m getting a notice from the Electric company that my usage is very high!”
Then a chorus of “It’s cold out”
The other night, my wife says “I smelled electrical smell, now the vents are blowing cold” at 4am. Yes, 4am. I got up, put it on Emergency heat, went back to bed and since I get up at 5, didn’t get back to sleep until 4:55. I got up at 5 and completely forgot about it until that afternoon. Fully awake, I realized my Trane heat pump went into a defrost cycle and turned on the heating elements so as to not freeze us out. It was raining outside and about 35 degrees at the time. I put it back on normal, all good, so I figure it was a $50 day to heat the house.
Flipper Realtor paint job:
Paint everything. Hinges. Heating ducts. Small animals. And of course, the bedroom door mounted mirror.
@bcawhern1 they were just following the instructions on the can. Don’t vendor instructions override common sense?
That said painters can cause as world of hurt when the cover the required listing and regulatory labels. I’m in a jurisdiction that has that liberal tendency to insist on no deviation from procedure: can’t read the label no interpretation can be done.
So this is not really a WTF, but it’s sorta of like spotting Big Foot. I’ve seen a picture of one of these toilets, I’ve never seen one in the wild. Of course, I’m not a plumber and I’m still sub 1000 on inspections, but I’m well over halfway.
My son had one of those in his house and you don’t want a big turd if you want to flush it out. LOL
Wow, haven’t seen one of these in years. This is what makes me miss inspecting older homes, the cool stuff you can find.
Boss: “Can you take a look at the light fixture in the bathroom? I had one of the mixer drivers work on it last week, but now the lights keep flickering.”
Me: “Sure, can’t imagine it will be too hard to figure out.”
And now we know to never have a truck driver do electrical work on a 277 volt light fixture.
Tell me you DIY without telling me you DIY.
(Apartment inspection with David Mattoon Thursday, Shower Drain)
My first look at that without zooming, I thought…how in the Sam hell did they glue pvc to galvanized.
Then I realize that someone isn’t fond of sand paper before gluing and the environment is “severe”
Final thought…but does it leak?
Unprofessional and improper installation of the drain pipe was viewed in the crawlspace under unit 1 bathtub.
I think the important question is, is it earthquake proof?
I saw leaks everywhere I followed David. I’m not sure if it was him, or if those puddles were there already.
You pushed me pretty hard that day. I don’t remember you ever asking if I needed to stop for a potty break….
Okay, too much information.
Bert, you slave driver.
