And indeed. The old 2 story home was sitting on top of a wider newer 3 car garage. But in my inspection area this is a bad thing, because the structural walls don’t line up, and our buildings need to survive 1 g sideways.

Quick story. While in the Air Force they had to condemn a dormitory due to bat infestation. At dusk they flew out and turned the sky dark…but in the morning, they would all hit the side of the building like a blanket and fill in thru the eaves. It reminded me of blood moving in reverse.
She was outside the screen and the ledge of the gable was filled with guano. I also found guano along a ceiling joist. They had been inside the attic at some point.
