I use Norton on 3 computers and have had no problems and just put Microsoft free antivirus on my wife’s laptop will see how that works .
She had trend antivirus on it previously but the subscription expired
I also agree with the previous poster that mentioned the “cloud” for backing your files up. It’s always a good idea. Of course removable drives are good practice as well. Good luck to you John. Hope it just turns out to be a minor problem.
