It doesn’t matter how sensitive your tic tester is. it still can’t tell a 240V circuit from 2 120v circuits on the same leg (i.e., no potential).

It can tell which side is hot and which side is neutral plus can tell if both sides are hot.
That is my point.

You also should have a good multimeter as part of any basic inspector tool kit.
