Black ABS Piping for HVAC Intake

Is ABS piping allowed for the intake pipe to a HVAC. I think it is but for some reason, I cant find anything supportive for this.
Anyone know?

Check the specific manufacturers install specs for approved flue or vent materials.

They can vary, here is a screen shot of a Rheem unit.
