Wouldn’t it be more prudent to discuss case law vs. inspectors (and plan to protect against that) than discuss how large our legal disclaimers have grown?
I would imagine that a large portion of settlements are derived simply from the payee doing the math and finding it saves them capital or (hopefully) the claimant doing the same math from their point of view and deciding it isn’t worth their time.
Ever wonder how many suits get started out of righteous indignation, fail, and cost the claimant several times what the damages would be if it were successful. I do. I be there are some good stories out there.
