Aimee,
I believe that I speak for the vast majority of NACHI inspectors, and no offense intended (in fact the opposite) when I say that you are one hot cookie.

Aimee,
I was attempting to reply to your message from yesterday about someone dropping off some cookies at your office.
Guess I created a new message by mistake....
Anyhow, I polished off those Oreo's last night.
For the benefit of you Chicago area folks, I have a large box of Maurice Lenell cookies now. Yes, even the coveted "pinwheels" and "cherry center" flavors!

Erol,
How could I forget their outlet store on Harlem???
Yes, that store (and the cookie factory in back of it) are very much still there. The store still looks the same as it did in the 1960's. Very nostalgic.
And enjoy FREE samples of every cookie they sell while you are there.
One word of beware - the store is located in a frequently traffic congested area near lots of shopping centers. Don't go on a Saturday afternoon in December....

I once had a call from a NACHI guy in South Carolina, I believe. We talked and the conversation got around to Pizza. I sent him (overnight, half baked) a pizza from Edwardo’s Pizza. To Die For!!!
Happily surprised him. he said his kids had never seen anything like it (thick crust (1 1/2 - 2") with piles of toppings).
I believe that we Chicago area inspectors could be a very valuable resource in elevating the cullinary quality of our fellow NACHI brothers around the country. After all, its not their fault that they live in quality food starved areas.

Me? Kosher cookies from Hungarian Kosher food store on Oakton, just west of Crawford, in Skokie.
To die for, so to speak.
Hi Will would you happen to know the name of this store, I always like to find some yummy Hungarian goodies, since I am a card carrying member of the tribe.
