It’s always best to recommend that the furnace be serviced by a qualified technician prior to use; gas, oil or electric. If it is more than five years old, I add the recommendation that the qualfied technician also do a check for CO emissions if gas or oil.

For your info only, the cracks are not the heat exchanger.
I would write it up and refer it to an HVAC contractor.
As they are, they are unlikely to be any problem at this time ( the supply air side of a heat exchanger of a furnace is in a positive pressure).
This condition does require monitoring, if nothing else.
You can not see the important parts. If there are cracks here, it is very possible that there issues with the equipment which require further evaluation.

As stated the cracks are on the vestibule panel, however those cracks indicate something else may be wrong. Incorrect or inadequate venting, lack of combustion air, furnace oversized for ductwork.
There could also be cracks elsewhere and actually in the heat exchanger.
