I’m curious, how would you go about confirming it is properly bonded though? Would you need to call the city to have the tag removed or can an electrician tell somehow?

We are to report visible deficiencies.

Here is an example. Most wiring, gas piping, water piping is hidden in walls. Does that mean we call out specialist to open it just to verify it’s ok?

Yea I understand that. Mostly asking because I’m curious. If I was the homeowner and I wanted to know, for example.

The only possible way to confirm if the raceway is properly bonded is to open the cover on the meter enclosure. An electrician could contact the utility company and request that they remove any locks or seals on the meter so that they can inspect it.
