I know this isn’t related to HVAC but is a gas fired dryer allowed in a sleeping area?


It’s not like a furnace which can come on when you are sleeping, but

Seeing as the dryer is one of the major sources of fires, you may wish to call it as a safety issue.

you said it’s a gas drier, so that would tell me that there are gas lines in the room to supply it. right? how about a code about that.? i alway thought gas line were not permitted to terminate to an appliance in a bedroom.? i can’t quote any litterature or person, but it does stick in my head for some reason. icon_cool.gif

I am only aware of the requirement for the shutoff valve prior to the appliance connector.
