Fraud Allert

Because he was up all night worried there was no Dog?

I got the same email.

He’s buying a 4,000 sf house for his retired father;-)

He wants to have the property “caretaker” bring me a key ASAP:roll:

Received this from “Joe” thought I’d share it. May 7th. 2015

Hello ,

Thanks for the quote. I am OK with the quote and i would have everything put in place for the inspection, first of all i will like
you to know that the house if for sale by the owner and not by realtor,I will like you to know the house is still occupied and it will be vacant next weekend,I want you to know that the caretaker will send you the key and you can go there for the inspection,i need you to send me your full name and office address and a valid phone number as requested by the caretaker he would need it to contact you to schedule the inspection and get the house keys to your office immediately they receive their balance,I will like to know what kind of credit cards you accept for payment so i can make the payment asap,I would have to seek a little favor from you and i would be happy if you can be able to grant me the favor i seek from you.Due to my present health condition,i would provide you my credit card details for you to charge for the total cost of the service and also i would like you to charge an extra sum of $ which would be used to balance up fees for the house,I am sorry if i am asking for too much but i would have forwarded the balance to him myself but i am held down with health issues right now and am still at the hospital and the seller stated he wants the balance by bank transfer that’s why i am seeking your favor on this,i would be willing to compensate you if you can assist me on this.

Your urgent response would be appreciated.

Warm Regards .

Here’s mine. Whats the deal? He did not ask for my credit card. He said he would give me his credit card to run. Whats his angle? And what is balance up the fees?

i just wanted to double check with you to know if we are on the same page what am explaining in my previous email is that I wanted to send you my credit card details for you to charge for the total amount plus and extra money which would be sent to the house owner to balance up the fees. Kindly let me know if you can assist me so i can forward you my credit card details for payment.

I just got the same email from the same email address too. He’s still at it.

Really? It’s a classic scam.

He gives you a stolen or fraudulent credit card.

You run it for $1,000 or whatever, and initially it will go through.

Then you pay the how many hundred he asks you to give to this other person, which is actually him.

Then in a few days/weeks, you get a charge back for the original $1K when the card comes up stolen, and whom ever is tied to card reports a fraudulent charge.

He walks away with several hundred dollars.

You’re out of the money you’ve paid out. And charge back fees.

thank you Ian, very good explanation

The possibly same scam artist is at it again. I got the same email that Jeff Kemp did on April earlier this year. He is using the name “Gabby Billings” and "giselle4g8@gmail.com". I’m not falling for it. Watch out!

It’s been on going for awhile now, many threads about it. It would be fantastic if someone would bust this ash hole.

I think it is funny that in most, if not all, of the communications, he says that he will contact the “previous owner” not the “present owner”. But, boy he sure is trying hard.

I received a similar scam message under a different name - a Mitchelle Rodney.

I just got the same thing but the name is Gabby D Billings

I just got the same email from Mitchelle Rodney. This individual is persistent. Reporting to local authorities and whoever will listen.

Here is latest email just received today.

Still going around?? this has got to be the 20th thread now

I got the same Gabby Billings email on 9-13. After a few emails back and forth, decided it was BOGUS and terminated communications. FYI, I’m in Oregon.

It has now gone a different route.

Yesterday and today I received text messages from Vanessa from two different numbers,978-773-8150 and 347-956-4982. Both numbers are “text messaging only” numbers.

Message reads:
“Hello, This is Vanessa, i will like to know if you available for home inspection of a new house that i purchase for my mother and what area do you serve then do you accept credit card payment too.”

It’s hitting Texas today 4 of my nachi buddies have the same email
