The art of home sales.

The devil is in the contract wording.

Hope someone posts the contract and checklist.

All the information can be found here. The only stipulation is that the Inspection MUST be performed by a Amerispec Inspector.

OntarioACHI, the NHICC and PHPIC have all been in touch with First Canadian Title to try to open this up to other trained inspectors but after 2 years of being fobbed off with platitudes, I suspect nothing will happen to change things.

Anyone wanting to query this decidedly one-side practice might like to contact the designer of this program at FCT. His name is Mark Page. His office number is 1-800-307-0370 Ext. 763233, his Cell is 416-277-7395 and his email address is mpage@fct.ca

Maybe if more inspectors called him to query why FCT (a Canadian subsidary of a US company) is restricting their products to Amerispec Canada (A Canadian subsidiary of an American company) we might get somewhere.

Our Purpose; Strong brands and passionate people – these are the building blocks to providing excellent customer service in our businesses.

Established Home Inspectors know the value of their service and charge accordingly.

Roy, how much information you get for free?
If other associations pursue that avenue, I guess it’s market share they are after.
InterNACHI is the world’s largest accepted certifying body for home inspectors. No need for free home inspections.

Just because the inspections are free to the consumer under this arrangement, doesn’t make it free. The inspector and First Canadian Title still have to be paid.

Like you’ve been telling others… “LOOK IT UP YOURSELF”!!
