With Nick’s blessing… Knights Software does not want the inspector that gets outbid at the last minute to leave empty handed so we are offering our software (PC or PocketPC version) for the same price as the last bid that gets beat out in this auction to that inspector. It is not a requirement that they get our software but we are willing to match the price if they so choose to get our software. That way that inspector does not feel like he lost out.

So that means the second place person gets software that sells for $800 while the winner gets $500 software???

I’m with you Bob. This is pure cheese. If you want to have an auction of your own then have one. I think all clear thinking inspectors will ignore this and wait for a different auction when this one ends.

Many of the other vendors keep asking us to increase our price. Just pretend ours cost $1200 (HIP is usually $599), as it includes commercial, residential, mold, septic, pool templates & more. Price isn’t everything. We have just refused to resell through schools that want a big commission so we don’t have to deal with worrying about undercutting anyone and can deliver the best price directly to the inspectors. I’m not saying Jeff is in that category as I don’t know, but several of the other vendors are.
