Why would a tenant need the permission of a landlord to do testing? I am not familiar with Pennsylvania’s rules, but I can tell you in Oklahoma, no need to get the landlords permission.
If I had a tenant do mold, testing in one of my properties, I would want to see the report before taking any action. If they are willing to share the report/prove mold, I would be unwilling to make any repairs…
Like several others have said, stay out of the middle. Our contracts say, we share the information with client only without written permission.
In Oklahoma, I’m not aware of any right that the landlord would have to any reports. I would ask the landlord to provide statute, and then send it to my attorney before sharing.
