I did an inspection on a house built in 2003 and on 1 wall it had verticle cracks not stair stepped cracks. Then on the inside of the house there is a cracked grout line that lines up with one of the cracks on the out side. I dont think that it is anything major but the buyers would like some peace of mind.

I do not know any Florida engineers but I might be able to help if you can give me some more information.
What is the foundation, slab or perimeter grade beam or what?
How wide is the vertical brick crack? Does the width vary from top to bottom?
Where is the grout crack, in a bath or shower or what?
How old is the house?
Do you know any history concering the cracking?

New house built in 2003
They are verry skinny running from top to bottom
They are not wider at the top or the bottom
It is a block wall it is not a stucco crack
they do not appear where the block wall meets another wall
There are no sister cracks on the other side of the house
I could email you pictures tonight if you would like to take a look at them?
The thing that bothered me was they were straight not stair stepped & the house is allmost brand new and could still be settiling
Any help you could give would be great Thank You Todd
