I was inspecting roofs today and was talking to the maintenance man at this apartment complex and he was telling me what had just happened days before. Two high voltage power lines were running besides each other and one metal pole broke in the wind and fell across the other line. There were 200 apartments with individual meters installed in clusters. The power surge blew 70 meters off the wall and across the parking lots. It was a wonder no one was hurt. I have never heard of this before.
