Inspecting Steam Ovens

We are starting to see this appliance in high-end homes. I’ve done a little research on them and how to operate them and was curious if anyone has suggestions for a good/quick testing procedure.

Snap a picture and state you didn’t test it. (seriously).

How far are you willing to go?

To me, this is in the realm of multi-jet bathtubs or remote control gas fireplaces or thermostats made for the smartphone generation. I’ll test it as far as I’m reasonably familiar.
Sounds like an interesting oven concept, though, Steamed fish or veggie dishes, I guess?

All I do on any range is turn on all burners and the oven on bake and take a picture.

Same Roy. Always take pics of them “working”. Had one a month ago had two burners inoperative…in a new build. Go figure.

I had a lady call me many months after her inspection tell me that one of her burners was DOA. I sent her a pic with everything working.
Never heard anything more.
It is just another CYA thing.

Have you gotten a call about the broiler yet?

But no picture?…referring to Ruy’s picture.

Nope! Not after 40 plus years.
