I’ve been trying to use the new software for months. After a while on the waitlist you sent me a link to get started but it was for Apple only. I asked if there was an Android version and you sent me a link that doesn’t work. I sent 3 emails over the next few weeks asking for a link that works and you have ignored me. How are you promoting a software but cant even respond to emails about it?
We’re not promoting the software yet. It’s in beta. The webinar is an efficient way to answer all the questions like yours. I tried to find the answer to your question about an Android version but our entire development team is meeting in Baltimore this week doing robustness testing.
If anyone has any questions, post them here and I’ll have Ben address them in his live webinar.
When do I get a link? I signed up a few months ago for the waitlist and haven’t heard a peep. I’m not going to watch a webinar because I doubt I’ll ever get my hands on your software, or Inspectacles for that matter, sigh.
Not sure I want to use the software if no one responds when we have questions. I can’t imagine ignoring even potential customers (let alone ones I’ve made thousands of dollars off of). Not a good start!
It’s just not possible. It would be like throwing money down the toilet. Imagine developers replying to thousands of members asking questions about something that isn’t finished (kind of highlights why I resisted creating reporting software for decades- tech support is nuts, even before the product exists). Furthermore, the answers would be obsolete. Our Dev team keeps enhancing the product, especially this week. And no, I’m not having them answer emails. Trust the process. I know what I’m doing.
Anyway, the webinar will efficiently knock out 95% of all inquiries in 30 min. We’ll all get a reminder before it starts. Get on the waitlist to beta test… and wait. And I added the question about Android to the list of questions.
I’m not promoting software. We’re building software. No, I’m not having our developers answer questions about something they’re currently building unless the questions are from beta testers. I’m just not. Trust the process. Get on the waitlist. Attend the webinar.
Hey Lon. We talked about this before. It’s not you and it’s nothing you did.
When you signed up you used Apple’s “Hide My Email”, so your login address is one of those scrambled @privaterelay.appleid.com ones. It forwards to your real inbox, but it’s picky: it quietly blocks mail from senders Apple hasn’t been introduced to. Our password emails were getting stopped right there, which is why nothing turns up for you since you last logged in around February.
We’ve just pushed an update so the app should now handle your email properly. Give this a go:
Click “Forgot password?” underneath the password box
Enter your Apple address: p########r@privaterelay.appleid.com
Watch for a temporary password (check junk too)
Log in with it, then click the key icon in the sidebar to set a password you’ll remember
If nothing shows up within five minutes, that relay is still eating it — just say the word and I’ll set a password on your account directly and text it to you.
One favour that’ll save us both this dance next time: send me a regular email address you check, and I’ll add it as a backup so resets always reach you. Your Apple address stays as your login, nothing changes there.
Courage, I see that you were logged in for about an hour on June 23. Maybe you’ve forgotten your password? I’ve manually reset your password, and you should receive an email from me about that. Give that a go.
