Inspections for your agents

Looking to see how some of y’all handle doing inspections for the agents personal homes! Do you offer discounts for them? I’ve had a couple of agents seem to get upset or not continue using me when I’ve charged them a price for their personal property. I really don’t think I should do for free!strong text

Generally, NO!
But… if an agent that sends me lots of business, yes, (seeing as I don’t market to agents), so they appreciate my work for what I do, not hoping for any special deals from me!

Also, I recall a couple of times increasing my fee for specific agents that are simply aholes!!

If it’s a REA that I’ve been doing buisness with for years, I’m certainly willing to give them a discount, also to their family members too.

A few years back I did 4 home inspections for not only the REAs new house, but also for her 3 kids, all in the same year.

Yeah really!

I do all realtor personal inspections for half price, because if the tell their client’s " he does my personal inspections ", it means something. However I don’t discount their friends, family ect, only the realtor. Personal choice but it works for me

I did an inspection for an agent yesterday that sends me all his clients…bless his heart. I charged him full price. I used to offer a discount until a few years ago, when a heavy hitter agent was buying an investment and told me that she could afford my full fee and expected nothing less…bless her heart. I don’t begrudge them making 100 times my fee, and the good agents don’t begrudge paying me my full fee for a full inspection.

There are a few agents that I give a (Friends and family) discount to (usually $25) the same I do for returning customers.
However There are a “few agents” where I have performed inspections for a mutual client, and they felt I was too nit-picky and or felt I killed the deal…But then have wanted me to inspect a home they or a family member are purchasing (because they know I don’t inspect to see that a home sells)…and No I do not give those agents a discount…Or if an Agent is buying a dump to Flip…No Discount…May even be too busy to get to it…This Month.
