InterNACHI® Announces Discontinuation of Commercial Property Inspection Certifications; Refers Interested Parties to CCPIA®

Boulder, Colorado, January 19, 2026 — The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI®), the world’s largest home inspector association, today announced that it will no longer offer certifications related to commercial property inspections, effective immediately.

Going forward, individuals and organizations seeking training, resources, or credentials related to commercial property inspections are being directed to the Certified Commercial Property Inspectors Association (CCPIA®) at www.ccpia.org.

“We recognize that CCPIA® is now the lone trade association in the commercial property inspection space. Referring interested parties to CCPIA® ensures that inspectors and stakeholders have access to an organization fully dedicated to that field” said Nick Gromicko.

Last year, InterNACHI® unified the industry further by abandoning its own commercial standards of practice in favor of CCPIA’s International Standards of Practice for Inspecting Commercial Properties.

When will CCPIA start offering discounts for multi-inspector firms like InterNACHI does?

I’d like more than one member of my crew to become CCPIA certified, but all those little bills start to add up.

So do we have to become members of that entity to continue to use the ComSOP and agreement system?

No, we left everything we ever had still available to InterNACHI members.

The only thing we no longer do is offer commercial property courses or certification. We gave that to CCPIA® to handle from now on.

CCPIA® has a multi-inspector firm membership discount, just email [email protected] the number of inspectors you’d like to register.
