The InterNACHI® Korea Chapter will embark on a U.S. technical training trip from November 1–10, 2025, designed as a hands-on educational and cultural field experience. The delegation of eight members — including CPIs, interpreters, and media staff — will travel from New York to Washington D.C. to Knoxville and back, touring construction sites, building material centers, and inspection-related facilities. This initiative reflects InterNACHI Korea’s strong commitment to continued professional development and global collaboration, demonstrating that InterNACHI’s mission extends far beyond borders as members invest in advancing their expertise wherever learning opportunities exist. InterNACHI Korea looks forward to sharing highlights of their journey with the InterNACHI community in the near future.

Maybe have them contact Simpson Strong-Tie as they have facilities around the country not only for manufacturing but also training. Simpson Strong-Tie is a great group and is always up to training and demonstrating their products as they apply to building. This is their WEB site.
That awesome!
I recently attended a class by a Simpson Strong-Tie Engineer, quite informative. He was a wealth of knowledge too regarding questions outside of the class material. This was at the PGT window plant in Venice FL, so they apparently travel for presentations too.
Wow, what a tour.
I am looking forward to highlights of their journey.
Thank you very much for this suggestion, I have passed it to the Chapter president for consideration.
Hi Dave,
I can confirm they travel for presentations. At our just recently held Dallas convention, we had Billy Viars with Simpson Strong-Tie present 2 continuing education workshops.
Hi Kaela, this is Minseok.
Thank you for your caring. Our Korean team is having a rewarding time, learning a lot, and having a great time.
Thank you for your consideration.
Here are some pictures of our training today. We inspected a century home downtown and then visited a development for a tour with the builder of grading, foundation pouring, framing, electrical/mechanical rough-in, and a finished model home. A trip to a “luxury” manufactured home ( mobile home) dealership was followed by a self-guided tour of the largest Home Depot in East Tennessee. Tomorrow we will inspect a new-construction slab foundation home and some pre-drywall phases and tour a truss manufacturing factory with an engineer. Truss construction is not common in Korea for single family homes. They cooked a Korean meal for me at their Air bnb and everything was delicious.
Outstanding !! Great work @bhull1 @kjungirl @mbang and all involved !!
And, the food looks delicious…yum
Thanks for sharing.
Not to thread drift but look closely at the table setting in the first picture. Look at the placement of the skillet and baking dish. This is an AirrBnB that so many don’t care about. Notice the consideration and respect?
BTW I worked for a Korean company for almost 4 years. There was a cafeteria in the building. They had so many Koreans working there the cafeteria cooked authentic Korean food. OMG you should taste some of the authentic Korean cooking!! My mouth loved it all but my stomach had issues with some. ![]()
That’s quit the agenda, great job! The food looks delicious. ![]()
We inspected a new construction home, toured some build sites , had a golf -lunch, a truss factory visit, and had a great day together.
It looks like a great time and a really good learning experience for all involved.
Congratulations to all those involved for a successful meeting.
And what is “not golf,” am I missing something here, or does it simply mean not here for the golf? ![]()
the targets are 50 ft across instead of 4 inches. So you score points pretty much every swing.
it’s not golf, it’s just a game. A game and good food and drinks. TopGolf is just as much about the food as it is about hitting the ball. “Beginner-friendly golf-type game, with food. “

I see, We have a topGolf a couple miles down the road here, you may have seen it from 75. I’ve never been there but might have to check it out.
