I wanted to do this for my AC condesate drain but was explained that its not kosher. Two problems. Must have a 1 inch gap between outlet pipe and P tripe to prevent sewer backflow issue into the dish washer under worst case conditions. If the dish washer isn’t used much then the P trap water will evaporate and sewer smell with enter the room.


Needs to go into the down pipe off the drain from the sink.
