Hi guys I hope everyone’s busy and doing well. I have a question. I had an inspection last week with a home that has a terne metal roof. The buyer just called me and asked why the home did not have a lightning protection system since it’s a metal roof and it’s not in the report. I didn’t think one was required so I looked it up and the short answer is no, nor is a metal roof more susceptible to a lightning strike.
I just what to get you guys opinion or advise on how to answer this question if it comes up again with another client or how to update the existing client. He sounded very concerned.
