A huge Bump. To date we have not received any nominations. Time is getting short. We have several members that have been instrumental in state legislation, NACHI program developments, etc. Let’s get these members recognized. Submit your nominee today. Let’s show them how much we appreciate them.

Interesting comments from two of our finest SC members. With all your powers within the SC, I’ll bet you could propose and issue a free years membership for the winner.
I think its a great idea. How about it SC, can we do it????

Jeff,
Should employees really be eligable, after all it is a member of the year award, not an employee of the year award. And if they are employees it is their job to do stuff for NACHI, all the rest of us are volunteers..

Jeff,
To me it would just make sense... I mean if you are a NACHI employee your job is to do stuff for NACHI. However, all of us who are doing things are doing it for free and with our own free time.....

I agree Gary, however, I am not the chair of this committee. I cannot make the decision myself.
Here is the question I posed to the committee.

Are NACHI employees and/or staff eligible? Specifically, XXX and XXX.
I think both of these gents do a great deal for NACHI, but I don't believe they should be eligible for this particular award. Thoughts?
I will post the decision once it has been made.

opps…Gary…I forgot to mention your name. Sorry.
I honestly think that the first nomination should go to one of the gentlemen who have been volunteering most of thier off-time helping NACHI members and the organization itself. I haven't seen any member here on this board outweigh any of the following qualities except Gary J., John B., and Dan F.
1. Performs "beyond the call of duty" to improve the service, quality, or image of NACHI.
2. Exemplifies professionalism and dedication to excellent service by putting forth the extra effort.
3. Makes outstanding contributions of significance to the NACHI organization to fulfill its mission.
I personally wouldn't want to nail it down to one individual.

I nominated Gil Strachan for this award I now see you have added a Canadian section . Would it be possible to move move him from the USA section to the Canadian Section . This would leave an opening for an American to fill that spot. Thanks Roy Cooke sr Brighton Ont Canada
