Hi Paul,

My Prestons guide does not show that particular model, but the AFUE of the NTC5125 series (with also is 125k BTU) is 80.

I hope this helps

Regards

Gerry

Thank Gerry. 80 sounds about right.

Been a couple of years since I have seen a gas furnace, so I may be a bit fuzzy.

Woudn't an 80% efficiency gas furnace with a 125K input be a 100K output btuh furnace?

my understanding is,

If the steady state efficiency was 80 then the output would be 100,000 btu

If the AFUE is 80 the the output would have to be somewhat more than 100,000 as the AFUE takes into account off-cycle losses.
