There should be an asterisk and a note on this table to indicate that the ampacity values are for NM cable or 60° wiring methods. For example a copper #8 AWG THHN conductor in a raceway or in MC cable can have an ampacity of 50 amps.

There is also a typo in the table reference number. It should be “Table E3705.5.3”
