The goal of this course is to teach students how to inspect swinging, sliding, and rolling fire doors in commercial buildings. You will learn about the types of fire doors and their components, common issues, and how to perform the three-part inspection procedures: visual inspection, operational check, and simulation (drop) test. This course applies the ComSOP International Standards of Practice for Inspecting Fire Doors.
