You are cordially invited to the next meeting of the Long Island Chapter of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI), Thursday, January 20th at 6pm. The meeting is open to all. You don?t need to be a NACHI member in order to attend. Members of other associations are more than welcome! Anyone should feel free to come. The dinner meeting is $35/person, including the presentation.

This is a great opportunity to meet some of your peers in the home inspection business and see what other people are doing. Our meetings always include a social component as well as an educational component. Ask questions, hear opinions and have a good time, all while learning! How can you beat that?

We hope to see you there!

Please RSVP to if you plan to attend.

Guest Speaker: Tim Brown

Tim is a leader in the Technical Support Division of Professional Equipment, a major national internet and catalog based tool supplier to the home inspection industry, headquartered (with a store) in Hauppauge, New York.

He will be discussing the application of various tools and their uses in home inspections. In addition, Tim will have these tools available for you to see, hold, feel and discuss, both with your fellow home inspectors and with Tim.

With more and more moisture and mold problems surfacing, knowing the proper use of moisture meters is critical. Therefore, as a bonus, Tim will also focus on specific techniques to be aware of in the use of moisture meters.

This is sure to be a learning experience for both new and veteran home inspectors alike.
