Fellow Ohio IHINA members,

As you know, there is again a licensing bill proposed in the statehouse.

FYI, myself and some other inspectors in Ohio are trying to get the Massachusetts bill in front of the commerce committee in hopes of making a firewall between realtors and home inspectors part of the Ohio bill.

On Tuesday the 26th we will be attending a committee hearing and trying to meet with some representatives who are sympathetic to our point of view. You are welcome to attend and make your views known.

Nothing is confirmed as of today, but calls are being made to set it up. It is the last chance we will have before the house goes on vacation to grab their attention.

If you can lend your support, let me know. I will know if it is confirmed on Monday and will let you know.

I put in a request for a copy of the minutes of the meeting. I was told that I may and may not get these. You might want to contact April to see if you can have any better luck of attain them. Thanks for your help in this matter.
