FL inspectors, would you ever put back drafting observations within the plumbing section of a 4-point? I ran up against this yesterday with a gas fired water heater and want to know your thoughts. Add it yes/no? I appreciate all PROFESSIONAL replies.
Is back drafting a health and safety concern?
What is the inspection for?
Is this rollout or real back drafting? It is associated to more than Plumbing.
The form asks for general condition of connections to appliances. You should check the Unsatisfactory box for the water heater and note back drafting in the comments section. As with all things on the Four Point report, you should limit your comments. The fewer words, the better. I suggest that you write “Evidence of backdrafting on the water heater flue”. Don’t add any other commentary.
