Opportunity for Inspectors to Provide Feedback on Approved Licensing Exams in New Mexico

The New Mexico Regulations & Licensing Board for Home Inspectors will have a hearing on January 9th to consider accepting InterNACHI’s Proctored Online Inspector Exam as an approved exam for new license applicants. Inspectors are encouraged to write and share their thoughts regarding this change to Wayne Ciddo at wayne.ciddio@state.nm.us and Board Member Jeff Gorum at jeff@swhomeinspections.com.

InterNACHI’s Proctored Online Inspector Exam, hosted by CNM Ingenuity, is an alternative option for new license applicants that provides flexibility for inspectors who may not be able to sit an exam in a physical building for whatever reason. It is also more affordable while still being a highly rigorous exam.

Inspectors in New Mexico, and around the country, may write to the board in favor of the rule change. Hearing from the base they serve is always helpful. If you wish to write to the New Mexico board regarding this rule change, please email Wayne Ciddo at wayne.ciddio@state.nm.us and Board Member Jeff Gorum at jeff@swhomeinspections.com until January 8th.

Whatever your opinion, InterNACHI encourages you to share it with the board for their consideration.
