Ownership question

Is an LLC or Corporation the best? I will be the sole owner.

That depends on your personal situation. This is a question best directed to your accountant and attorney.

As Joe and Brian stated, it’s more related to tax liabilities as opposed to personal liabilities. Being a sole owner of either an LLC or S Corp won’t protect your personal assets. You can learn more by searching “Piercing The Corporate Veil” and what that means.

Good luck either way!

Thank you.

Will do, thank you.

Thank you for the recommendations.

LLC is generally cheaper… Corporation files it’s own tax return, LLC goes onto your 1040.

I checked that out and I believe I have the direction needed. Thank you.

Don’t keep us guessing, please.

What entity are you going with?

As a sole proprietor LLC may not offer any protection of your personal assets. Individual sate laws differ on this - consult an attorney.

I am using an LLC. I will be using an attorney to help set up the business.
