How does one become Radon certified?
Check with your state to see if there is a requirement and what they are. State of Michigan still has no requirements unlike Illinois and Indiana.
When it comes to Radon Monitors, does anyone know anything about AccuStar? They have a pulse Ionization chamber RS300 model for $800 that comes with a USB port, has a battery life of 8 to 10 days, 16 counts per hours and can be mounted on a tripod.
NO! That is not where ANY radon test is to be preformed. It is only tested in the lowest LIVING space. That would be the basement (finished or unfinished) or the 1st floor o a slab on grade. A crawl space is not a living space.
I also have a 1027 and am looking to get rid of it. I has major problems with downloading with windows 7 or anything else - XP was what it was designed for. When I called sun nuclear about this and they told me about a special “cord” which I ordered. I still have to try to download the information multiple times (at least 3 if not 6) before it will print. When I emailed them about this I never did hear back from them. I had a partner who was able to get a different cord that seems to work better- they don’t make it anymore. Sun has the worst service and there has got to be a better solution out there, I’ll find it eventually.
