I’m not sure, Bert. I’ll talk to my sister again today and try to talk her through a few things, see if she can send some pictures or videos, etc. What I got from her, the plumber/heating guys tried the things I listed in above posts. I will definitely bring this up with her. Thanks!

There have to be cleanouts. They just didn’t locate them or the drywall clowns finished over them. There should be blueprints somewhere to indicate their locations.

I’m not quite sure when it built, but it was purchased by my mother-in-law in 2000.
I wondered if they got drywalled over as well.
My sister didn’t mention it, but she may not know if they did.
When we need to test DWV systems the plumber pours peppermint oil down the main waste stack and then we see where inside the smell shows up indicating a bad seal, open pipe or dry trap.

My thoughts would be that there is a trap that has been inadvertently covered over either by carpet (Floor Drain) Or possibly …Is this a business that was once a residence? I’m thinking P-Trap/Drain for a clothes washer may have been covered over during a remodel…since no longer needed. I was called one time about this exact thing only the washer drain was luckily not covered over by drywall, but a cabinet had been placed in front of the wall where it was located. Out of sight, out of mind…till the trap dried out.

The building was a doctors office building, prior to becoming the accounting business.
Something climbed into the duct and died.

Once my In-laws get out of quarantine and get back home, they’re going to start moving more things around, looking for covered floor drains, etc…They’re not aware of anything covered, but you never know.
That sounds like a good plan, Junior. They’ll find it, I bet.

Few more days in quarantine and they can get back to their farm. They flew in from California to Calgary and had to stay there in their condo for 2 weeks!
