Hello folks, I have a client in an apartment building and on the 3rd. floor. They have a bug that they see regularly in the apartment and a pest control company told him that it is termite! From my limited knot on termite, I doubt that it is given that they don’t see any termite mud on walls, and they are not in ground floor.
Here is the photo of the bug. Any idea what that is?
P.S this is in Dubai and buildings are concrete not wood like we have in North America. Any thoughts?
Possibly a soldier, hard to tell for sure from those pictures.
The enlarged image is too blurry.
It does resemble a termite. I see only two distinct body segments, ants have three.
Is is not a subterranean termite. Looks like a drywood worker caste.
You said third floor, is that the top floor where there may be a space or attic above?
Could have also been “imported” in by furniture, etc.
Possibly booklice…
Psocids a pretty teeny only like 1 or 2 mm sized.
The answer is “possibly.”
Hard to tell from the pic. The size and it looks like it it doesn’t have a thorax. But I trust our local bug expert here @mgoldenberg more than what I see…
Looks like a bed bug.
Hi Marc, no they are not at the top floor. They are on the 3rd. in a 10 story building
Agree very similar look
Did the exterminator recommend having qualified exterminator treat for them?
