Four hundred dollars.

It is now 9:01 P.M. EST and 7:01 P.M. MST. Did I win with my 29-day old bid?

Congratulations on the win, Jim! :+1:

Hi all, please note the winner may not be announced exactly when the auction ends depending my schedule. I may announce the winner sometime within the following 24 hours by reviewing the timestamp. Thanks for understanding and participating in the weekly auction for Cozy Coats for Kids.

Not much of a chance of that this time. My bid sat there for 29 days which, frankly, boggles my mind, Nick.

You are a generous man - the most generous I have ever known. This contribution should have raised much more money than it did. I couldn’t go lower than $400 on it without a guilty conscience, and I thought it would triple before the bidding ended.

I think most readers focused on the melt value of four ounces of silver without looking into the actual coin, itself. This is the first 2 oz silver Krugerrands issued and only 10,000 were minted. Only 759 have been graded at 70 and, when you can find one for sale, it will sell for $450 to $595 dollars.

This was quite a bargain. I will have to overbid on something in the future just to make this up to you.

There are bargains to be had here on Tuesday nights. A lot of the time, I want to bid myself and buy the stuff back. LOL

Not saying Nick is not generous, but a quick internet search can get you one easily for $225.

You can’t beat ebay for great coin deals.
