Thread for 3D Inspection System Users

As requested, here’s a new thread for 3D Inspection System software Users for special news or notices to replace the prior aged one.

Hardware options have changed quite a bit since our last hardware poll, and with 3D Mobile Inspector app compatible with the most popular platforms, including iPhone, iPad, Windows 10 tablets, and Android phones and tablets. Fellow inspectors would like to know your favorite type of device for running the free companion mobile app. Add your vote to the poll at the bottom of the www.3dinspection.com website home page!

I think you need to be a NACHI vendor.

NACHI members can get their discount by contacting sales by phone and mentioning their NACHI membership number when ordering. 3D Subscribers also are eligible for additional discounts on extra licenses and other select purchases as well- Contact 3D sales for details.

For those thinking of switching to 3D software from another software package, please contact our sales department at 800-745-6126 about Trade-up discounts.

Note that some have recently contacted us expressing concern about whether they will retain future access to their final reports. Note that 3D Inspection System software stores all final reports on your OWN computer where you have control over that data. Our Cloud3D Services are used merely to facilitate transfer of your own reports to and from your own mobile devices and none of your collected inspection data is ever mined for any outside purpose.

…for ANY purpose at all…may be a better description because, as you may know, HG appears to not mine it for any outside purpose either. Except, they now have an insurance company in-house that appears to use the collected inspection data.

Yes, indeed! Nothing “outside” of whatever the inspector himself might need to do with his own report data. From that perspective.

Obviously an inspector could perhaps send or provide a report to 3D support for suggestions about adjusting something, but anything like that would be considered confidential unless express permission were given to share said information with another party (can’t imagine why). 3D would of course use that data solely to assist the inspector. 3D does not mine, share, or sell any inspection findings information that is collected into the 3D software or 3D apps with other parties. And 3D is not owned by an insurance or other company or have any similar in-house interests.

Granted some might also possibly use other services not provided by 3D to collect the same or similar data or information that they in turn import or share into their 3D software also (labs, schedulers, etc.), but 3D wouldn’t have any knowledge about how those outside entities may or may not use or share any data initially collected outside of 3D.
