I think that the “finality” of the election is probably playing into the stock market action. The market likes certainty. If the election were contested, or if Trump lost and threw a big fit again, the market would probably be wobbly.

Anyway, very happy to see large gains the last two days in my accounts! I am holding the rest of my solo 401k contribution and our IRA contributions until later I guess. We’ll see what it does closer to the end of the year.

On a side note, if anyone out there doesn’t have a solo 401k account, they are very easy to set up. I use Etrade, but there are other brokerages that offer them as well. You can make the full “employer” and “employee” contribution each year as a self-employed person. Let me know if I can help with any questions!

I’m not complaining and probably cashing in on my gains prior to January…

As with so many other subjects.

Never hesitate to take gains! I have two stocks (outside my retirement accounts) that I might cash in tomorrow. One is WBD (Warner Bros). They had an outstanding earnings release today and stock jumped 12%. The other is NERD, which is a video game ETF stock. It jumped 6% today. Not sure why it jumped yet, but I might cut it loose and take my gains. Not even sure why I bought a video game stock, lol. For some reason it hit my radar a few months ago and I bought it.

I’ve been keeping my eye on Quantumscape Corp, makers of solid state batteries which will compete with the lithium batteries in the EV auto market. Something to keep an eye on…

If one can find a competent financial advisor, a steady 12%+ is nice and leaves time to enjoy other things.
