Weil Mclain boiler vertical vent pipe configuration

Is this vertical concentric vent pipe configuration acceptable for a Well Mclain Eco 110 Series 2 boiler? I know that the exhaust pipe is improperly sloped in one place in the garage. I am unable to tell if the metal pipe is the required stainless steel AL29-4C.

What does the installation manual say?

Adam there is your answer right there. You must use their concentric termination vent kit.

Martin probably has it covered. And, Adam, can you post figures 22, 23, 24 and 40 from pages 23, 24, 26 and 37?

The instructions make it look like stainless steel or PP (page 23 and page 24, figure 23) can be used for the concentric vent.
But the diagram that they give (page 23) for the stainless steel vertical vent is kind of poorly drawn.

Was the support assembly secured in the attic, as noted in the instructions?

This was as good of a picture as I could get of it in the attic.
It does not appear to be supported at all in the attic, though.

The required support doesn’t appear to be there. You can refer it out for support correction and other needed corrections for a safe operation of the unit, IMHO.

Adam there enough information here to have it evaluated by a professional that can look at the installation better than we can from your photographs.

Agreed, Larry. I appreciate you chatting with me about it.

Martin that’s a good point. I do think that the concentric vent configuration on the roof does not appear to meet the requirements of the manufacturer’s installation instructions. The vent does not appear to be supported at all in the attic. Also, the adapters on the vents between the PVC and the stainless steel pipe in the garage do not appear to meet the requirements of the manufacturer’s installation instructions.

Thank you for helping me to be thorough with my critique!!!

Looks good from here. Concentric vent. Side Exhausts. Top is combustion air.
See them vents in plastic. Stainless is moot.
Supports required.

Just my 2 cents.
