What is an HRV?

A defrost feature is part of an HRV, but what is an HRV?

Heat recovery ventilator

**It is a heat recovery ventilator. They have become very popular and in some areas necessary with the super energy effecient homes. Here is a link with some information on how they work.

Man, you guys are terriffic. Thanks so much for the info.

HRV = Henry Robert Valenzano

Do you have a defrost cycle???:smiley: :smiley:

Everyone says I’m a hot head so i guess so! :neutral:

Those systems seem to improve energy efficiency, but I would hazard to guess that there is an inherent danger in passing exhaust air so close to the the intake. Has anyone ever seen a failure? What to look for, etc.? I’ve seen a couple of these but never opened them up.

Thats a Canadian site,… it cant be reliable?? :roll:

JUST KIDDING MARIO!!! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :stuck_out_tongue:
I love Canadian stuff,… Molson especially,… notice the molson bottle in the second pic! :mrgreen:

My eyesight must be failing. Where is the bottle?

Its a trick picture, lol she must be laying on it.

Are those guys on their way to the convention? :mrgreen:

The picture on the right is…well nice. The picture on the left reminds me of a friend that has a cottage north of Toronto. He tells me that he probably has 1/2 dozen snowmobiles at the bottom of the lake his cottage is on. Way to much Molson is my guess.

Peter I hope that you didn’t change your mind about attending the convention. I have the first dozen beers!! :smiley: :smiley: :smiley:

I think its Mario driving!?!?! :mrgreen:

First dozen,… that will take care of the first hour! :mrgreen:
