New sentence clarifies how to ensure direct metal-to-metal contact between the metal mounting yoke of a receptacle and the metal box when a bonding jumper isn’t installed to the receptacle.(A) Surface-Mounted Box. Where the box is mounted on the surface, direct metal-to-metal contact between the device yoke and the box is permitted to serve as the effective ground-fault current path. To ensure an effective ground-fault current path between the metal box and yoke, at least one of the insulating retaining washers must be removed from the receptacle.

Good info, Paul.

I love picture stories.

Thanks.

Thanks Larry…

Keep in mind guys…YOU probably would not know this is happening anyway since you should not remove the device anyway…but still GREAT info to know.

Paul is there any way you could find a service panel that is bonded properly. I mean find a pic of one

Do you mean Graphic wise like Mr. Holt makes or a REAL picture of one?

Did you ever find the image you needed Ron as you did not answer me back.

Always a good refresher…
