Where can I find a chart or list of the diameter of common residential electrical wire that includes the jacket of common insulating materials.


Wire gauge + insulation thickness = ?

I would expect that there is a standard minimum insulation thickness for different insulation materials but are the wire manufacturs consistent in the thickness or do they exceed the minimum to varying degrees?

The NEC is available online for members of the NFPA. I was unable to find another location that would get us there.

Use the old DOS version of the 93 code (you sent me a dozen years ago). The table is the same and it formats better in ascii.
